If you would like to learn more about what we have been up to for the past couple of summers and what we might be up to this summer, come for an information evening and meet kindred souls.

4) Belle Park Open House – All welcome!
What: Learn more about the opportunities and challenges of developing a master plan for Belle Park – situated on a former landfill site on the shores of the Great Cataraqui River. Offer input on locations for Belle Park programs, pedestrian circulation and access, pathway connections, clubhouse amenities, improvements and recreational activities.
City staff is also consulting with indigenous groups on how to communicate the history and culture of the indigenous community at Belle Park. Feedback will be used to hone the Belle Park Master Plan.
Watch for opportunities in June to offer input on a refined concept. It is expected that the Belle Park Master Plan will be brought before council this fall.

What: Ollin and Friends of Kingston Inner Harbour invite you to Kingston’s World Turtle Day Celebration!
With support of Turning Bear, Kingston Interval House, Canadian Mental Health Association and more!

Turtle Rock Painting.
Sharing of Creation Story including Skywoman and Turtle Island.

Arts, Crafts, Games, & Face Painting.
Community Turtle Mural.
Turtle and Earth Songs in English, Spanish, and Nahuatl with Kingston Drum Circle!
Come learn, drum, dance, sing, and create in celebration and awareness of turtles.

What: Learning more about our Inner Harbour turtles and the importance of Turtles in Indigenous cultures: Shoreline walks with Kenny Ruelland, live turtles and snakes, displays, crafts,
Traditional Knowledge Keeper. 
It is the middle of turtle nesting season!  You may actually see live turtles nesting.
